“Community Health Workers Act”

Abstract

The  Community Health Workers Act of 2007  (CHWA) (S. 586, H.R. 1968), introduced by Senator Jeff Bingaman (D-NM) and Representative Hilda Solis (D-CA), addresses the work of community health workers, also known by many other names, including promotores de salud, lay health educators, or outreach workers.
