Abstract
The growth of the Latino workforce and the push toward environmental sustainability will both define the future of the American economy. This report compares the occupational and educational profiles of the Hispanic workforce and the clean economy in five metropolitan areas to gauge the degree to which Latinos are participating in the clean economy. It offers early clues about policy interventions that could better align the fastest-growing segment of the labor force with some of the fastest-growing sectors of the economy.
