Abstract
The U.S. Department of Labor reported today that the economy lost 33,000 jobs in September due to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The national unemployment rate decreased to 4.2%, and the Latino unemployment rate decreased to 5.1%. The healthcare industry added the most number of jobs out of any other industry in September.
